Dollars and Sense

It is with a great amount of excitement that I say this:

Are getting good?

I took a little turn around their website a few days ago and found a bewilderingly large amount of stuff that I actually want. It is, I believe, what is referred to as ‘sods law’ that I can’t afford any of it, but that aside… LOOK AT ALL THE GOOD STUFF! Including exclusive designs from Ruby Rocks. Radical.

I can’t get over this ‘Ghostworld’-esque dress. Perfect for everyday, it’s a bit quirky, it’s a bit weird, it’s the right shape, and what on earth is the pattern? Bats? Strange spaceships? I’m happy with either option to be honest.

A slightly more conventional pattern here, but still a nice shape. I’m not usually a fan of keyhole necklines, but I can make an exception here.

The skirt selection is still pitiful, but I’m heartened by the new dresses they stock, let’s hope there’s still more to come.

I’ve never been a girl for trousers, but I do admit that they are becoming more and more attractive as the weather gets colder. Also, I’ve tried on a few pairs of trousers lately that haven’t made me look awful. Perhaps it should be a New Year’s Resolution that I try to wear more. Or even buy one pair. Perhaps these from ASOS?

With this (

I’ve always enjoyed keeping my clothes simple and creating interest with accessories. I guess it comes from wanting to express my own style, but not being able to find anything suitable to fit me.

I have fallen in love with this coat (

Tasty. The detail! Those cuffs!

And these boots (, though perhaps not with that outfit. I feel like I might have to make a bit more of a feature of these, I wouldn’t want them to get drowned in wide-legged trousers.

Other blogs, new bits and changes

I’m hoping to have another little redesign soon so I can include a rolling commentary on other blogs that I’ve seen and enjoy. There are a few British based blogs, but most of them are in the US. There seems to be a proper HAES community going on there, and there are a lot of interesting points raised which I’d like to discuss.

That’s it for the moment. Please do check out the blogs in the links section. I’m a big fan of all of them.

I’ve not heard of, thanks for the heads up. Oddly enough the Evans near my work has most of that ‘exclusive’ Ruby Rocks stuff, which I am toying with trying on [and hoping it doesn’t work, as I am melting my credit card as we hurtle towards Xmas as it is]. I have been toying with getting those ASOS trousers, though Miriam ordered them & sent them back as she found them weird & uncomfortable. But I’m still tempted, they are just my style.

Hold up. It’s Arcadia Group. So it’s basically younger bits from Evans.

Yeah, it’s Arcadia, hence the awful skirts and bad jumper dresses. But I’m heartened still. I’m trying to be positive here.

You are going to hate me tomorrow. Or maybe tonight depending on when I blog again. I’ve got an awesome, awesome, and thrice awesome website to share. You may well have already heard about it, but I almost cried when I saw it this afternoon. Amazing.
